Voici le contenu de cette interview

“The CD contains 85 speech cuts, featuring all four members of Coldplay. The interview was conducted in London on May 24th 2002 by Danny O'Connor. Before each cut, you are given a suggested form of words for your question, so you can set it up."

Cuts 01-14 are with Guy
Cuts 15-27 are with Will
Cuts 28-46 are with Jonny
Cuts 47-61 are with Chris
Cuts 62-72 deal directly with the music on A Rush of Blood to the Head, track by track
Cuts 73-85 are I.D.s for band members; and I.D.s for all the album tracks

Guy
1. So, Guy, introduce yourself and tell us how you see this album, as a progression from Parachutes.
2. So, give me an idiot's guide. How do you tend to write songs?
3. Tell me what's different technically about this recording, compared with Parachutes.
4. What's Ken Nelson's role in the making of a Coldplay record?
5. When you look back on the whole touring process that went with Parachutes, does it seem like one long, crazy experience?
6. So, on this new album, have you got a personal favourite track at the moment?
7. There seems to be a lot of musical diversity on this CD. Would you agree?
8. Where was this album recorded?
9. And Parr Street (in Liverpool), where most of Parachutes was recorded, must have good memories for you...
10. Were there any tracks that proved problematic to record?
11. Is the album title significant?
12. So, looks like the next year or two will be tied up with touring the album?
13.-14. Quite a lot of English bands complain about America and touring. You seem to look at it much more positively...

Will
15. OK, Will, introduce yourself.
16. Having finished it, how do you feel about the record now?
17. Is there a sense of pressure around this record, just because of the great success of Parachutes?
18. Are these any times when you wonder what's going on in your life? After all, a few years ago you were a graduating student...
19. Since the succes of Parachutes, and the hit singles from that album, you must have had some surreal experiences...
20. You've said in the past that you feel lucky to have this life, without so much of the hassle of being The Face of the band.
21. In terms of the writing and recording of the songs, how do the four of you work together?
22. Which are the most drum oriented tracks on the album?
23. So, technically, is this a very complex record?
24. In My Place is the first single from the new album. Any anxiety about 'the comeback single'?
25. Parachutes sold by the truck load. Do you have any anxiety about whether or not Rush of Blood will sell as well?
26. Would it be right to think that you've sung more on this album than on Parachutes?
27. All done — thanks.

Jonny
28. Introduce yourself.
29. Looking at this collection of songs now, how do you see it?
30. Has it been a learning curve?
31. Could you make a comparison between these songs and those on Parachutes?
32. You say 'different'. How different?
33. Why does the track The Scientist live in your affection?
34. Does spontaneity excite you more than those tracks that take more hard work?
35. Do you feel more confident now, so that you try things because of that confidence?
36. How important was the Parr Street Liverpool studio in these recordings?
37. So do you need to get out of London because it's distracting?
38. Was there any 'cabin fever' evident during these recording?
39. What's the significance of the title of the album?
40. So, the next task will be reproducing the album live. Tough job?
41. So, it's back on the road. Did you tire of touring at all last time?
42. So, In My Place is the first single. Do you feel any anxiety about that?
43. Will told us that he can listen maybe 6 or 7 times to the songs, and then that's it. How are you with your own stuff?
44. And we learn that you're going to be busier on stage this time...
45. Are you determined to make sure that the gigs are complete 'Coldplay Experience'?
46. That's it, so thanks.

Chris
47. Introduction time...
48. So, now it's done, how is the album sounding to you?
49. Anything alse that's struck you at this stage?
50. More than just another album, surely. It must have sounded good as you worked through the stages of recording..?
51. So how do you see the tracks on A Rush of Blood to the Head?
52. So, out of the 11 'errant children', is there one that gives you the hardest time?
53. Was this album easier to write, lyrically, than Parachutes?
54. Would you say that there was a link, or a thread, running through the songs?
55. Since the time that Parachutes took off to now must have been an amazing experience. You've met Bono, did you find that inspiring?
56. Is there a downside to this stuff: popularity, fame etc?
57. So, back to the recording process. You worked in Sir George Martin's Air Lyndhurst Studios. What was that like?
58. How much actual material did you amass for the recording of A Rush of Blood to the Head?
59. Looking forward to getting out and playing thses songs live?
60. Are you inspired by the dates you did with U2?
61. So thanks for your time.

Track by track sequence
62. So, Politik. Not normally spelt with a K. Why that way?
63. Is it right that In My Place is the oldest song on this new CD?
64. The bass line on God Put a Smile Upon Your Face is worth talking about. How did it happen?
65. How does the track The Scientist fit in?
66. I believe that song Clocks was the last to make in onto the album?
67. There's a very interesting sound at the start of Daylight? What's that?
68. Green Eyes: is that the most personal song on the album?
69. Next track is Warning Sign. Is everybody in agreement about this song?
70. Any story behind the track A Whisper?
71. Why is A Rush of Blood to the Head the CD title track?
72. Amsterdam seems the perfect closer track to this album...
